It is a simple fact that, in today’s society, we need to be connected. We may travel to get away from work, but most of us will still check our email and Facebook, stream media, and use our smartphones or tablets while we travel. At the very least, it helps to be able to check in for flights or see when you’re going to be delayed. Not all airports have free wifi, but now there’s a possible solution.
WiFox (available for Android and iPhone and at this website) is a crowd-sourced list of airport lounge passwords that you can access offline. Pay $2 for the app, install it on your phone, and you can see the latest passwords for the airports that you’re traveling to. Because it’s crowdsourced, you should have the latest password list, so if a password changes, you will have the latest passwords. You can downvote passwords that aren’t working for you to help keep the data clean for other users.
I’ve never used it, but this could come in handy when you travel. I’m definitely saving it for later.
